I had a wonderful client stop in at an Open House a while back and after seeing this driftwood fish that I made for the wall...<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiykQCiKvWBiPJJRbJL35RcKNIcTnT88uXulLAtGLIUA2Duty4WFhq7iwfN46I0ziVKF-YRl4reuxksRDCyo9jdtRw_KDhy4RL2CLAFwZ8F63HdUef6Dx96qmXzEEyvbWShvUXS21UFBA/s1600/Drift+wood+fish+wall+hanging.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="180" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiykQCiKvWBiPJJRbJL35RcKNIcTnT88uXulLAtGLIUA2Duty4WFhq7iwfN46I0ziVKF-YRl4reuxksRDCyo9jdtRw_KDhy4RL2CLAFwZ8F63HdUef6Dx96qmXzEEyvbWShvUXS21UFBA/s320/Drift+wood+fish+wall+hanging.jpg" width="320" /></a></div>
....asked me if I could make her one on a stand out of driftwood she collected from the Great Lakes. Liking a challenge, I of course said yes! And this is what I came up with...<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgbSXmZZoLcwPl426xmZZvkTYRP4fYeRHr5Kyzl-VS6etN5YXvEuO2t9qzb3bqWAR1wetAMk1pCUiVl98WrVSpoY-HyZbCAFnM1cnwmYBg-6oy-ob7k8Z4xeoLHPGUd9vzvs7IVS5319w/s1600/Driftwood+fish-1.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="286" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgbSXmZZoLcwPl426xmZZvkTYRP4fYeRHr5Kyzl-VS6etN5YXvEuO2t9qzb3bqWAR1wetAMk1pCUiVl98WrVSpoY-HyZbCAFnM1cnwmYBg-6oy-ob7k8Z4xeoLHPGUd9vzvs7IVS5319w/s320/Driftwood+fish-1.jpg" width="320" /></a></div>
I don't have any in process pictures to share because once I got started I didn't stop to take any pictures. I began by laying out the pieces on my worktable, moving and fitting them around until I was happy with the shape and satisfied that each piece would fit nicely together.<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhww_pEe1CWDOL34ChU2e_W32JKo6O7Mnnp-eqi_ApwOEUGJBPpGsLW5yOK5cWSKD7F51AkQuCOfwniTi62exQnKXQ6zMbJURpWXxY_cRYCuh7gMmNJxC9Q6BQCGrxValgD-n57w8ah7g/s1600/Driftwood+fish2-1.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="275" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhww_pEe1CWDOL34ChU2e_W32JKo6O7Mnnp-eqi_ApwOEUGJBPpGsLW5yOK5cWSKD7F51AkQuCOfwniTi62exQnKXQ6zMbJURpWXxY_cRYCuh7gMmNJxC9Q6BQCGrxValgD-n57w8ah7g/s320/Driftwood+fish2-1.jpg" width="320" /></a></div>
Then the dangerous part...drilling holes into each piece to attach the dowel rod through. Some of the pieces I had originally decided to use didn't make it pass the drilling process. They fell apart. So then I had to rework the design to incorporate a different piece of driftwood.<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhBAS10is4-LKi689QVsAolXjp_wvEHQ_E6I7ryhIpsS9rmmRVZ74N1Td0EwRVUqhTSWeFwEsmsN0J4bVdrHr92y9KWIZdSvdiKa2-a6IOVHqUOb-cWrTZzWg5fcqJeM3ek8kL4_RcJ4g/s1600/Driftwood+fish3-1.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhBAS10is4-LKi689QVsAolXjp_wvEHQ_E6I7ryhIpsS9rmmRVZ74N1Td0EwRVUqhTSWeFwEsmsN0J4bVdrHr92y9KWIZdSvdiKa2-a6IOVHqUOb-cWrTZzWg5fcqJeM3ek8kL4_RcJ4g/s320/Driftwood+fish3-1.jpg" width="197" /></a></div>
The pieces are attached to each other not just by the dowel, but also by nails and glue. The base is a piece of reclaimed cedar that my grandpa had saved. I cut it down to size, sanded it and drilled a hole into the base for the dowel to go into once it passes through the large piece of driftwood at the base. The piece of driftwood a the base has also been nailed and glued into place.<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgGQ-UUVsv5opFet-rWVNHYKSC6aZmtO8y5uh5bq-doZBk8NxTRjr1sXcQjh9o6ag2oIzhF0CyAOMv_JbJzpDzTwh7VBhSsL62Tm9RgH5NKTt20WCuMW_K_CHZvkDpGuQjBaHVWsesz0g/s1600/Driftwood+fish4-1.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="273" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgGQ-UUVsv5opFet-rWVNHYKSC6aZmtO8y5uh5bq-doZBk8NxTRjr1sXcQjh9o6ag2oIzhF0CyAOMv_JbJzpDzTwh7VBhSsL62Tm9RgH5NKTt20WCuMW_K_CHZvkDpGuQjBaHVWsesz0g/s320/Driftwood+fish4-1.jpg" width="320" /></a></div>
<br />
I'm really happy with how this turned out and better yet, so is my client. She loved it. Now I think I'm going to have to dig through my container of driftwood and make one for myself. Thanks for stopping by.Full Circle Creationshttp://www.blogger.com/profile/04817022436401694119noreply@blogger.com8tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4716327704011339350.post-45544022784473737622015-08-03T22:21:00.002-05:002015-08-08T15:16:33.815-05:00Over-sized Produce Sign...Hi Everyone! I had a request from a client to create my Fresh Produce sign that is normally 5 1/2" x 24" on a much larger scale....<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgDfUV9ZWtoUAaJsBq4IS6RI9rj18qHbFOA2yCHvNa57ClfuIEZTwNkm3_0Ff8rCvArnS09E4yrFbtTF94-6abBYl-9Fy5PDf-vOjQl6u0aad3zOMRvMHRSMuVR5D3L0kKquCiWBYIrag/s1600/DSCF2399-1.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="260" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgDfUV9ZWtoUAaJsBq4IS6RI9rj18qHbFOA2yCHvNa57ClfuIEZTwNkm3_0Ff8rCvArnS09E4yrFbtTF94-6abBYl-9Fy5PDf-vOjQl6u0aad3zOMRvMHRSMuVR5D3L0kKquCiWBYIrag/s400/DSCF2399-1.JPG" width="400" /></a></div>
It is 7 1/4" x 60". I'm really liking it on the large scale. I just might have to add one this size to my <a href="https://www.etsy.com/shop/fullcirclecre8?ref=hdr" target="_blank">Etsy Shop</a>! And maybe make some of my other signs on the larger size (maybe not quite this large).<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgmJLaebU9fV-PtLIaKzAMITD231nFNFpDhKn6z41kWLq9cCXMK2uE1iMTyAXXoiBsw9FAB_6Xx5JY0P6AXmqAEVfi5anX2FZ-yBD9CdS7695nprCSBxOLYHW505OkdfucmlhcSuno8RA/s1600/SANY0135-2.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="218" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgmJLaebU9fV-PtLIaKzAMITD231nFNFpDhKn6z41kWLq9cCXMK2uE1iMTyAXXoiBsw9FAB_6Xx5JY0P6AXmqAEVfi5anX2FZ-yBD9CdS7695nprCSBxOLYHW505OkdfucmlhcSuno8RA/s400/SANY0135-2.JPG" width="400" /></a></div>
<br />
Here's what it normally looks like, only not in red (this was a custom order). It's usually more like this....<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhM0iF0ss9DQQu3Omkf4FFVpXmGwEJgaUKF_EqV1jfn3sIOa5k9Dm-lGyrsrwVrchrHwqX-46Bw0u8XXfdOQ12IL5ICUbeQT5227Tpz2leIcEN1PXhAI0dA2Thlzj1dRacQfx1NxyZltg/s1600/Fresh+Produce.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="317" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhM0iF0ss9DQQu3Omkf4FFVpXmGwEJgaUKF_EqV1jfn3sIOa5k9Dm-lGyrsrwVrchrHwqX-46Bw0u8XXfdOQ12IL5ICUbeQT5227Tpz2leIcEN1PXhAI0dA2Thlzj1dRacQfx1NxyZltg/s400/Fresh+Produce.jpg" width="400" /></a></div>
I'll have to see what the other signs look like on a larger scale. Do you have any signs in your house that are over-sized? Thanks for stopping by!Full Circle Creationshttp://www.blogger.com/profile/04817022436401694119noreply@blogger.com3tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4716327704011339350.post-43515678961659193042015-08-02T23:06:00.001-05:002015-08-08T15:17:49.020-05:00A bench, crates and work exchange...Hi Everyone! I was going through my project pictures and came across pictures of a custom order bench and crates that my friend Heather requested. We traded work for work. I made her this bench and crates and she painted a windmill picture for me.<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgupbvsYl2FLJh3yB2nXuwxnm_9WOSY3QY6zgwFFOUIcrYL-PpeoVe-IRiNbtGqWelk5qlzZ5Hh72UXBUY4Q7w0FLP0e0oxb-9xtoAPp_vUm7SGCWUvjrT3zNH7VAaj8FyQ5zBlY-kpBw/s1600/DSCF0851-001.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="295" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgupbvsYl2FLJh3yB2nXuwxnm_9WOSY3QY6zgwFFOUIcrYL-PpeoVe-IRiNbtGqWelk5qlzZ5Hh72UXBUY4Q7w0FLP0e0oxb-9xtoAPp_vUm7SGCWUvjrT3zNH7VAaj8FyQ5zBlY-kpBw/s400/DSCF0851-001.JPG" width="400" /></a></div>
I made the bench and crates to sit under one of the headboard shelves that I made for Heather. I took the pictures before I added the casters to the crates.<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjO23jhqmaahfTZBm6Iha6_XvUWwn7H-ff2zZqcNUt9XvdxZsnw6pLSKIaKMrkXEfmyzdtKERwT5yyRcLA6gpsMpUtLUMwueSIVL-tSo-nfLXCu48h-5H9rWBwirQY2SR-p4WNQB5HQlw/s1600/DSCF0853-001.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="375" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjO23jhqmaahfTZBm6Iha6_XvUWwn7H-ff2zZqcNUt9XvdxZsnw6pLSKIaKMrkXEfmyzdtKERwT5yyRcLA6gpsMpUtLUMwueSIVL-tSo-nfLXCu48h-5H9rWBwirQY2SR-p4WNQB5HQlw/s400/DSCF0853-001.JPG" width="400" /></a></div>
I made the legs out of 1x12" recycled pine boards that came out of my farmhouse pantry that I saved when I turned the pantry into my laundry room. The boards had been in the pantry since the 1950's when my grandpa enclosed the porch and turned it into the pantry. <br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjwiCjXhtpNWm90Va_UvKQZJ7FZr-_mmhu3YfRyjwMsiPyYemU65ptAEoR3thYH-TJcReyct8mugQH-9hTe24RSOGg9XvWTcNeZ201-ZZBLisL00R-0gimjTl2jhu5LHXc21HlenI5dEg/s1600/DSCF0856-001.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="188" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjwiCjXhtpNWm90Va_UvKQZJ7FZr-_mmhu3YfRyjwMsiPyYemU65ptAEoR3thYH-TJcReyct8mugQH-9hTe24RSOGg9XvWTcNeZ201-ZZBLisL00R-0gimjTl2jhu5LHXc21HlenI5dEg/s400/DSCF0856-001.JPG" width="400" /></a></div>
The top of the bench is made out of recycled 1x8" boards. The bench was painted with a base coat of black and top coat of Annie Sloan Old White Chalk Paint and sanded and waxed. The crates were just painted Old White.<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

And this is the painting that Heather did for me in our exchange. I'd say I definitely got the better end of this deal! Didn't Heather do an amazing job on this windmill!! I sent her a picture of what I wanted and it's even better than the picture! Thanks Heather! <br />
<br />
I'm working on some new pieces but they're coming along kind of slowly. I've also been working on some custom orders and painting walls for my mom. I hope to have an open house later this month and the plan is to announce dates for the rest of the year, so stay tuned for more. Thanks for stopping by!Full Circle Creationshttp://www.blogger.com/profile/04817022436401694119noreply@blogger.com2tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4716327704011339350.post-70778102873999749162015-07-31T15:20:00.001-05:002015-07-31T15:20:21.974-05:00Remade dresser...Hi Everyone! Today I'm reaching into my stash of things I've made in the last year that I haven't shared with you yet. My dear friend Lynett picked up some dressers for me last year and I headed over one Saturday (last year) to pick them up from her. <br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEj6kwdaS18_ZcZBH-aTgxl2Gj5Gc1IXuq3goe50oAvoRt_ENiW0g-q2rQqDV9p_tDF8jcfQVU1opoPgpY4-fEhfOQefOYY5gqP33_9PwQew7vKBFugejGhX5ZEG2voOf5mHnLqsmAEUFA/s1600/Dresser+with+drawer-1.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEj6kwdaS18_ZcZBH-aTgxl2Gj5Gc1IXuq3goe50oAvoRt_ENiW0g-q2rQqDV9p_tDF8jcfQVU1opoPgpY4-fEhfOQefOYY5gqP33_9PwQew7vKBFugejGhX5ZEG2voOf5mHnLqsmAEUFA/s320/Dresser+with+drawer-1.JPG" width="240" /></a></div>
Isn't it great! Only problem is, when I got home the top drawer was missing. I made one stop between my friend's house and home...at Menards. And when I came out of the store, the drawer was missing. I was upset, but I knew how to fix the problem...I shortened the dresser.<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEh6uDNaSy1RIyQQqbjCFBzT4Rmn0yFxxQ7PnlgZknd4MSBzec9mbr4JlmXxC8RsDFtTLBImKrABDM8qVSL1Lj7eNfJpm4P23y1tovNfkofIUQBocNpdjrvJ9yaC3nzB2QHvSahORkFwXQ/s1600/DSCF1481-1.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="301" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEh6uDNaSy1RIyQQqbjCFBzT4Rmn0yFxxQ7PnlgZknd4MSBzec9mbr4JlmXxC8RsDFtTLBImKrABDM8qVSL1Lj7eNfJpm4P23y1tovNfkofIUQBocNpdjrvJ9yaC3nzB2QHvSahORkFwXQ/s320/DSCF1481-1.JPG" width="320" /></a></div>
I took the top off of the dresser and cut it down just above the divider between the 1st and 2nd drawers. And then reattached the top.<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiVGvbS9mtJLk4acMgMdg0H-krIWTyHKPKMpf08kSWNWaWqNggnrWkWmmYewFGbWtdGVhxhZV86hA73vALz1Kj7VX1EK-vKe9PScj3CLpVctSMjqNPnjSWsaZpBNhXFelVdRwcGszIsJg/s1600/DSCF1479-1.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiVGvbS9mtJLk4acMgMdg0H-krIWTyHKPKMpf08kSWNWaWqNggnrWkWmmYewFGbWtdGVhxhZV86hA73vALz1Kj7VX1EK-vKe9PScj3CLpVctSMjqNPnjSWsaZpBNhXFelVdRwcGszIsJg/s320/DSCF1479-1.JPG" width="241" /></a></div>
I added these side pieces to fill the slightest gap at the top and because there was just a little veneer damage at the bottom.<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhQ64pIjlYOWnv3HUSBmy4NrVAytV_B1R0nlbLqp_U1y4x9Euw5pn14VUn1BI5lNKREK9B69EoBxj_n9RioOMKR5VUIFOEnEFiAAzgrmPLbMnF_ha5Z-EVx_IneB-rk9udM777CR-bJNw/s1600/DSCF1495-1.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhQ64pIjlYOWnv3HUSBmy4NrVAytV_B1R0nlbLqp_U1y4x9Euw5pn14VUn1BI5lNKREK9B69EoBxj_n9RioOMKR5VUIFOEnEFiAAzgrmPLbMnF_ha5Z-EVx_IneB-rk9udM777CR-bJNw/s320/DSCF1495-1.JPG" width="261" /></a></div>
Then I custom mixed a very pretty shade of blue/gray and painted it. Then waxed it. I cleaned up the original hardware and reattached them. And I love how it turned out. You wouldn't even know it had originally been a four drawer dresser. I took it with me to the Clarinda Fair and it sold as I was setting up my booth. Thanks for stopping by!Full Circle Creationshttp://www.blogger.com/profile/04817022436401694119noreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4716327704011339350.post-34318192930707077272015-07-29T23:13:00.001-05:002015-07-31T14:09:36.416-05:00Little Red Desk....Hi Everyone! I finished a new project today and just couldn't wait to share it with you. My friend Lynett picked up this desk (I think it might have actually been a vanity) at Goodwill and brought it to me during my open house last month. When I saw the picture she sent me I was excited until I saw it in person.<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhLh6-NHjg-hnnfzeS3OVPsjfbf4Ygc9_dWt_utJwKYkbTM7EVVpgQZeVzm8ysWuS_TcaG0AFeIOvvBzTTENYHNBI1m1GDlDXCSmcimU7ooYX4WCYMIjTDuoVr_mwOv0AyoCzE-9DaZgQ/s1600/White+desk-before.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="244" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhLh6-NHjg-hnnfzeS3OVPsjfbf4Ygc9_dWt_utJwKYkbTM7EVVpgQZeVzm8ysWuS_TcaG0AFeIOvvBzTTENYHNBI1m1GDlDXCSmcimU7ooYX4WCYMIjTDuoVr_mwOv0AyoCzE-9DaZgQ/s320/White+desk-before.jpg" width="320" /></a></div>
The top is really slick and shiny plastic and the drawer fronts are actually plastic too. But it's a great size and I really like the style of it. So instead of donating it to the local used furniture shop in town, I decided to see what I could do with it.<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEj0rDZLIr9uV47auCAaym1LzA7uBll5PoarUIH0aVL_Zqp3Mhceu9ogZyPCWHEHkgG_9YFiVDxsbJLRSVsu07p7OTXOoYsIWaVxtR9DQOiVc1nijT0ugOxYJHffpD_uQo2WL8yJSm5uXw/s1600/DSCF2442-1.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="243" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEj0rDZLIr9uV47auCAaym1LzA7uBll5PoarUIH0aVL_Zqp3Mhceu9ogZyPCWHEHkgG_9YFiVDxsbJLRSVsu07p7OTXOoYsIWaVxtR9DQOiVc1nijT0ugOxYJHffpD_uQo2WL8yJSm5uXw/s320/DSCF2442-1.JPG" width="320" /></a></div>
After cleaning it and sanding it, I gave the whole thing a coat of primer because of the plastic pieces. Then I painted it with two coats of red paint and a top coat of satin sealer.<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEi9nC8OmYs5teC4x3eOyyOqTCkAA_eCSMS28oBJxfoE0tY0Vy9dcY2lmNoUnB7XF-fJFLkVqNT-OpmraLTro4C3WaJ8wpq44ZB8YmBDcOc0tXeo1-PpoNXFtdWVDpM5lcPmgVKfrJ1z_g/s1600/DSCF2446-1.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="201" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEi9nC8OmYs5teC4x3eOyyOqTCkAA_eCSMS28oBJxfoE0tY0Vy9dcY2lmNoUnB7XF-fJFLkVqNT-OpmraLTro4C3WaJ8wpq44ZB8YmBDcOc0tXeo1-PpoNXFtdWVDpM5lcPmgVKfrJ1z_g/s320/DSCF2446-1.JPG" width="320" /></a></div>
I decided to try something I hadn't done, I took brown shipping paper, crumbled it up, then decoupaged it to the top to make it look like leather. And sealed it with 6 coats of Furniture Mod Podge.<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgCuMAcL-OjO5RBDz6eUJ0aA_FE7M4aJ4cOzfmV86ygdm3-P3zeEcskbsDXmf11-2u76tT5aJAOLHopXcbxU6lsqF7vYNHVMBRbc5COqZbh_odkMu5wy0ukqBHdOjow3ZfcAka7E-oZ6Q/s1600/DSCF2456-1.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgCuMAcL-OjO5RBDz6eUJ0aA_FE7M4aJ4cOzfmV86ygdm3-P3zeEcskbsDXmf11-2u76tT5aJAOLHopXcbxU6lsqF7vYNHVMBRbc5COqZbh_odkMu5wy0ukqBHdOjow3ZfcAka7E-oZ6Q/s320/DSCF2456-1.JPG" width="318" /></a></div>
I also added antique medium to the pulls that were silver and gold to give them a gold/brown aged look. It's different than anything I've done before but I like that about it. Have you ever done the brown paper decoupage method? And if so, did you like how it turned out? I'm not sure I'd do it again but it definitely camouflaged that slick plastic top. Thanks for stopping by.Full Circle Creationshttp://www.blogger.com/profile/04817022436401694119noreply@blogger.com2tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4716327704011339350.post-18416986058949002552015-07-28T00:01:00.000-05:002015-07-31T14:11:26.485-05:00Padded storage bench and headboard...Hi Everyone! Yesterday I showed you a headboard bench that a client ordered for Christmas for one of her daughters and today I thought I'd show you what my client ordered for her other daughter.<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjK96eL5iJg3hBeuDSOnu7ToYTVeFcBQ-QjIsxxWEt0Qya4T_uMcXy7ubtOHSVouIMrAB83uUmYLMPbwCKyJ7lu8Sm8x3bMcrgU_H7drl-zK6QvijpITTKv_gVjtmm5jbMU4qxB5x-nXg/s1600/DSCF1942-1.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="178" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjK96eL5iJg3hBeuDSOnu7ToYTVeFcBQ-QjIsxxWEt0Qya4T_uMcXy7ubtOHSVouIMrAB83uUmYLMPbwCKyJ7lu8Sm8x3bMcrgU_H7drl-zK6QvijpITTKv_gVjtmm5jbMU4qxB5x-nXg/s320/DSCF1942-1.JPG" width="320" /></a></div>
It's a padded storage bench with lots of room inside. My client's daughter came out and picked the style of bench, the color and a couple of fabrics but left the final choice to me.<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhS1VqvJCxlCd2sZJlSoiS_bGE5Djp1WK4DodkFB_7qo5zyTT4X0d4HnCxRUYY_shnMVQBGWQIIoJ9t6mPVO3uPO1qQaOs1APAPMrLTqYckKCsRF7wl4JI9bm_UNu9dqmcZx4XbkSc1iA/s1600/DSCF1938-1.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="245" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhS1VqvJCxlCd2sZJlSoiS_bGE5Djp1WK4DodkFB_7qo5zyTT4X0d4HnCxRUYY_shnMVQBGWQIIoJ9t6mPVO3uPO1qQaOs1APAPMrLTqYckKCsRF7wl4JI9bm_UNu9dqmcZx4XbkSc1iA/s320/DSCF1938-1.JPG" width="320" /></a></div>
This was her favorite fabric so that's what I used. Then my client called and had found a headboard that had some damage on it and was shiny white laminate and wanted to know if I could make it over to match the bench and repair the damage.<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiYd8HN2Mgw6updvNFhS7aHFNbZx3-_Wn9nYI6X-mZx3NqjRks4OR4esIoxAWSfp1a7H60_530Dw_2fyV-QOeXRlSj_QASO7FsoSBpPHT_98Q8eUYnWwn8Dx5CXY6mq9w2H3GsseK-Bew/s1600/DSCF1944-1.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="260" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiYd8HN2Mgw6updvNFhS7aHFNbZx3-_Wn9nYI6X-mZx3NqjRks4OR4esIoxAWSfp1a7H60_530Dw_2fyV-QOeXRlSj_QASO7FsoSBpPHT_98Q8eUYnWwn8Dx5CXY6mq9w2H3GsseK-Bew/s320/DSCF1944-1.JPG" width="320" /></a></div>
And this is how it turned out (sorry no before pictures). I was able to repair the damage by adding an additional board to the top of the headboard and filling in the damaged area with Quickwood.<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhXZBAMC9quzUSmRDrejv71MrYR0KLzvidnYagWpbbochzVuHCWOwZHaI8k-exRWNJiZ_o0Pxylk_fI16n7gFxLXEtdeEdk2WF_uRXDLrrFqpp9Nhwe_MbD_Z0RlhduRg1bvZVtqeZQow/s1600/DSCF1946.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="240" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhXZBAMC9quzUSmRDrejv71MrYR0KLzvidnYagWpbbochzVuHCWOwZHaI8k-exRWNJiZ_o0Pxylk_fI16n7gFxLXEtdeEdk2WF_uRXDLrrFqpp9Nhwe_MbD_Z0RlhduRg1bvZVtqeZQow/s320/DSCF1946.JPG" width="320" /></a></div>
The really neat thing about this headboard is the cutouts. It comes with plastic, colored pieces that you can use to change the look of the headboard, but instead of using those, I used the same fabric as the bench. And of course I painted the whole thing black. I think they turned out well and looked great together. My client liked it too. I used the foot board from this set as the arms of the bench. I cut off the top of the posts and replaced them ones that were more rounded to match the top of the headboard posts.<br>

I can't believe how the summer is flying by. I certainly hope you are enjoying it. Today I want to share some exciting news with you. I've been busting at the seams to tell you about it, so much so that I couldn't sleep, so instead I decided to share my news one day earlier than planned. A new chapter of my life is about to start...today is my last day of employment as a bookkeeper for a local plumbing company. And tomorrow is the first day of my full-time self-employment! I am throwing caution to the wind (it will be alright Mom), taking a chance on myself and following my dream of taking this little business I've started and seeing just how far I can take it. Amazingly, I'm not nervous or apprehensive about taking this leap. I'm so excited I can hardly contain myself (which is why I couldn't sleep).<br />

It's been difficult the last couple of years as my business has grown to keep up with my job, my business, this blog, the farm and everything in between. But now that I will be working for myself, I hope to do a better job keeping up with everything, especially this blog. I have missed sitting down and writing. I've missed the comments from you and seeing what you've been up to.<br />

One of the things I have avoided doing on my blog is running any ads, but now that I'm self-employed, that just might have to change. And at some point I might have to change platforms but that will have to wait for a while. I have so many projects to share with you that I'm not sure which to share first. I currently have 9 orders just waiting for me to finish/begin so that seems like the best place to start. So look for me to be around a little more often. I plan on taking you along for the ride as I navigate self-employment. I know it won't be easy but I'm looking forward to the challenge. And as always, thanks for stopping by.Full Circle Creationshttp://www.blogger.com/profile/04817022436401694119noreply@blogger.com5tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4716327704011339350.post-55225153100346516732015-05-24T18:00:00.000-05:002015-05-24T18:00:00.121-05:00Spring Open House.....Hi Everyone! I know it's been too long and I missed sharing with you all the projects, fairs and open houses that occurred throughout the fall and winter and for that I'm truly sorry. This fall my dogs decided to have an unplanned litter. Bailey had 13 pups right before Thanksgiving and in the middle of four weekends of Open Houses. She had such a big litter and stressful delivery that only 8 of them survived. And that was plenty!!! They were adorable! And all found homes by the time they turned 8 weeks old! <br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

<br />
But this weekend was my first open house of the year. And it's been wonderful. I tried something different this time and opened up for three days, Friday, Saturday and Sunday. Going forward I plan on having them about every month. So on with the pictures!<br />

It was a great weekend. I want to thank everyone that came out despite the uncooperative weather. It's always nice to see old friends and meet new ones. There were a lot of new visitors this time. I'm so grateful for all the support. And a big thanks to my biggest supporters, Mom and Dad!<br />
<br />
And as always, thanks for stopping by! I'll try not to be gone so long!Full Circle Creationshttp://www.blogger.com/profile/04817022436401694119noreply@blogger.com4tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4716327704011339350.post-26965773855557102482014-10-01T18:00:00.000-05:002014-10-01T18:00:00.874-05:00Paintings from the Open House...Hi Everyone! So much to do and so little time...you know how it is. I've started working on custom orders and items to take to Clarinda in less than three weeks but thought I'd stop in and show you a few more pictures from my Open House. <br />

I don't know what this one is called. Heather decided to give it away in a drawing and I never learned what the name of it was. Unfortunately, none of her other paintings sold. So if you see any that you like, contact me for details as they are still available.<br />

.....this one is mine. We traded work...she wanted some things built, which I did back in April and she painted this for me. Isn't it fabulous! I love it and have it hanging in my living room. I think I got the better deal in this trade! Thanks Heather! And thanks for stopping by!Full Circle Creationshttp://www.blogger.com/profile/04817022436401694119noreply@blogger.com3tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4716327704011339350.post-15880229865244427262014-09-30T21:10:00.002-05:002014-09-30T21:10:58.527-05:00Never enough storage...Hi Everyone! I thought I'd show you the new storage piece in my studio (you've seen it in some of my open house pictures) is an eight drawer dresser that belonged to my friend Lynett. I had asked her to keep a look out for something for me and she found a few options, but none of them were right for me, but one of them was right for her. <br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhLjryH22HeyS9J_wXfaQrxqpvh4YI5UZxkWrbBftB5ceB2sRJrGxCNUJSzzbB7IolWUapasqAzwiX0VR-b0tR25UCfeeVuNZ2XmrrRMNhj3FOP4roytO6inguFxdjgFm3iTqR4HoAJEg/s1600/dresser+for+studio.jpeg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhLjryH22HeyS9J_wXfaQrxqpvh4YI5UZxkWrbBftB5ceB2sRJrGxCNUJSzzbB7IolWUapasqAzwiX0VR-b0tR25UCfeeVuNZ2XmrrRMNhj3FOP4roytO6inguFxdjgFm3iTqR4HoAJEg/s1600/dresser+for+studio.jpeg" height="240" width="320" /></a></div>
So I received her dresser. Just look at all of that storage! And the drawers slide like a dream. But the color, or lack of color, just wasn't me. So I painted it!<br />

The color is called New Life by Americana Decor, from their chalk paint line. I painted it and waxed it but I decided not to distress it, yet. It works wonderful in my Studio and holds a bunch of supplies. I certainly do love it! Would you have painted it such a bold color.? Thanks for stopping by.Full Circle Creationshttp://www.blogger.com/profile/04817022436401694119noreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4716327704011339350.post-41027174816829323262014-09-29T22:33:00.001-05:002014-09-29T22:33:10.238-05:00Fall Open House...Hi Everyone! My Fall Open House was this past weekend and it was wonderful. I'm almost at a loss for words except to say that I feel extremely blessed. I took a chance and had it Friday and Saturday because the town festival was also this weekend. Friday was the best day, Saturday was almost as good and then Sunday, I received several calls asking to come out and had several more sales and a couple of orders. The Studio was full on Friday and I'm sitting in it now and it feels empty. <br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEioJ9qNewkL9Y9mOIKPwWalavzKOcf-t4Ck-UudJCi8trm7coVrKhFD2JorV_wIz7qZp8yAArC4aHGqvrK2dmGxIvQK9B8eRbIoUvIBCYOcoOKSqpjjcY3nPoFKGdliHTOj2mEe-PzuWg/s1600/DSCF1415-1.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEioJ9qNewkL9Y9mOIKPwWalavzKOcf-t4Ck-UudJCi8trm7coVrKhFD2JorV_wIz7qZp8yAArC4aHGqvrK2dmGxIvQK9B8eRbIoUvIBCYOcoOKSqpjjcY3nPoFKGdliHTOj2mEe-PzuWg/s1600/DSCF1415-1.JPG" height="320" width="240" /></a></div>
I moved a lot of the pieces that were already in my Studio around since the last Open House giving it a better flow. I moved the pay counter to behind the front door and switched out the large black piece for this smaller rolling cart that had been my kitchen island pre-remodel. I painted the base grey and the top old white then added my banner to the front of it. I really want to paint on the new design like I did for the outdoor sign. That's on my to do list for this winter.<br />

I want to say thank you to all of those that came out and supported me, told their friends and family about it and even brought people out to see my Studio. It was a great weekend. The sales were great and I received a handful of orders that I need to get started on plus I have less than three weeks (just two weekends) to get ready for my big show at Clarinda. Thank goodness I am about half ready for it. Thanks for stopping by.Full Circle Creationshttp://www.blogger.com/profile/04817022436401694119noreply@blogger.com2tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4716327704011339350.post-88363186247905017612014-09-24T17:46:00.001-05:002014-09-24T17:46:14.176-05:00There is a season....Hi Everyone! One more day until my Fall Open House. I'm almost ready for it. Just a little more cleaning to do, some decorating and a couple of signs to finish up. I thought I'd show you another one of the silhouette paintings I did.<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgfdcJKS2GI6Jk8mGxOfko27DyYhxQUsvomjYrEEr5Gu2dOJkxzn1mhvpUM3kf4bOX5jtlKNgmb0uDexvxLYxJAzjvE6MMn1ns_sWVA73eufCR8iuBQU3AUQwH9hmtYSKOVjNcxoConfw/s1600/DSCF1371-001.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgfdcJKS2GI6Jk8mGxOfko27DyYhxQUsvomjYrEEr5Gu2dOJkxzn1mhvpUM3kf4bOX5jtlKNgmb0uDexvxLYxJAzjvE6MMn1ns_sWVA73eufCR8iuBQU3AUQwH9hmtYSKOVjNcxoConfw/s1600/DSCF1371-001.JPG" height="295" width="320" /></a></div>
This is painted on four wooden canvases, each canvas painted with a base coat of black and then different color to represent the four seasons. <br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEimJTVd5mjTLhazd5ovEhne1-KzrsUeXgdTTiwKJK-LWQthrGuNNKaUmTxu-TvUcMRgoCGEsxRm_PO61kxb_1ajW6E3otobvGBLRZ6rsOe_kP6TFwXeX_qIsKnXIe66vpsjlTvrBqCmVw/s1600/DSCF1372-001.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEimJTVd5mjTLhazd5ovEhne1-KzrsUeXgdTTiwKJK-LWQthrGuNNKaUmTxu-TvUcMRgoCGEsxRm_PO61kxb_1ajW6E3otobvGBLRZ6rsOe_kP6TFwXeX_qIsKnXIe66vpsjlTvrBqCmVw/s1600/DSCF1372-001.JPG" height="312" width="320" /></a></div>
I painted the tree and the saying using black paint. The saying says For everything there is a season... A simple painting but one that I really like. It will be available at my Open House on Friday and Saturday and then listed in my Etsy Shop. Thanks for stopping by.Full Circle Creationshttp://www.blogger.com/profile/04817022436401694119noreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4716327704011339350.post-52131586139208754882014-09-23T17:30:00.000-05:002014-09-25T20:56:59.000-05:00A fairytale....Hi Everyone! Last night I finished hand painted 6 signs for my Fall Open House on Friday and Saturday and thought I'd share my favorite one with you.<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgJOGoJKX0wfwf3ijTX52hh8sdivxrmKfmPdE92ypOwM2WjUAe1xPIJdsPFBXkZzBKu1iLiF8hNQ6lGw43KrPpj9mskQbqay1NSF1Ghj-XEaL-38gnJ9A5y86yo5oeEQh6doUEmdQS7xg/s1600/DSCF1365-1.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgJOGoJKX0wfwf3ijTX52hh8sdivxrmKfmPdE92ypOwM2WjUAe1xPIJdsPFBXkZzBKu1iLiF8hNQ6lGw43KrPpj9mskQbqay1NSF1Ghj-XEaL-38gnJ9A5y86yo5oeEQh6doUEmdQS7xg/s1600/DSCF1365-1.JPG" height="228" width="320" /></a></div>
I took an old foot board that I've had for a while and cut off the side posts, painted it with Old White Chalk paint and distressed it. <br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgL8rPRHYDa0FxQuTmHfpHNBn3HAu_KsZP1haZ7OpWjlaelXlorvM5U3-SQ7dFFAyouQmRywL86DfaqG5kOfSHu18KjkIlw4bM512dsfuucnRk0cSgu93o-tEw2KQMmgjmC7ejoQhlyBg/s1600/DSCF1366-1.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgL8rPRHYDa0FxQuTmHfpHNBn3HAu_KsZP1haZ7OpWjlaelXlorvM5U3-SQ7dFFAyouQmRywL86DfaqG5kOfSHu18KjkIlw4bM512dsfuucnRk0cSgu93o-tEw2KQMmgjmC7ejoQhlyBg/s1600/DSCF1366-1.JPG" height="193" width="320" /></a></div>
Then I had painted the saying...(it's one of my favorites!) onto the board. It says "Every once in a while, int he middle of an ordinary life, love gives us a fairytale." I used the same saying on the back of a headboard bench I made.<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiitPl1eFMNGBQeKEfZKoDzGF07PiWSpjFSexKesa46sNma0W5W3dOe2iElGtE5nkOAUNIlb92LzLhkyxFUh4evlAGRriu4zpET9ErAGlIG0czJQ7oiQ9BDwjKHKkhfvTdxIquAA6T5Lg/s1600/DSCF1363-1.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiitPl1eFMNGBQeKEfZKoDzGF07PiWSpjFSexKesa46sNma0W5W3dOe2iElGtE5nkOAUNIlb92LzLhkyxFUh4evlAGRriu4zpET9ErAGlIG0czJQ7oiQ9BDwjKHKkhfvTdxIquAA6T5Lg/s1600/DSCF1363-1.JPG" height="213" width="320" /></a></div>
I envision it above a bed without a headboard or in a Master suite.<br />

I really like how it turned out. This sign (and others) will be available at my Fall Open House on Friday and Saturday. Thanks for stopping by.<br />

Just a few more days until my Fall Open House and I'm busy trying to complete a handful of hand painted signs and a couple of last minute projects. I thought I'd show you a couple of things I made for the guys. When I go to show or have Open Houses, I try to always have something that would be of interest to the guys. This time I went for sports silhouettes.<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhPb-gvUBz18X_ajltS55S8dMGEH8oo_q-1vaEHna2fazzRd-LEo6l8LFMVa76MLpsY9zwYx6gr6zhWc07qI8EyGExShcQSZ1zpLcAHWMqeLGhdi0olShkCR8bxd8P7_SOv3WkWVnjZSA/s1600/DSCF1355-001.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhPb-gvUBz18X_ajltS55S8dMGEH8oo_q-1vaEHna2fazzRd-LEo6l8LFMVa76MLpsY9zwYx6gr6zhWc07qI8EyGExShcQSZ1zpLcAHWMqeLGhdi0olShkCR8bxd8P7_SOv3WkWVnjZSA/s1600/DSCF1355-001.JPG" height="267" width="320" /></a></div>
In my studio I have a corner designated for "guy" items. And this time I can add these sports silhouettes that can be personalized with your favorite team name/colors or players number. Or they can be left plain like the basketball series.<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjXBgFO5lrJ_C3NtjHkXCMMfuXcfSjUMxFPQi1WcYovE_CAz2y9-SIJcO8JOUcBdXlIQQks2Jl9zenimWKK9_uO_cqbHPHNxi9I7LwWOFY6VPt6n9DaGUI9n3yrGmaBNzbkUUbvzgFMQw/s1600/DSCF1348-001.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjXBgFO5lrJ_C3NtjHkXCMMfuXcfSjUMxFPQi1WcYovE_CAz2y9-SIJcO8JOUcBdXlIQQks2Jl9zenimWKK9_uO_cqbHPHNxi9I7LwWOFY6VPt6n9DaGUI9n3yrGmaBNzbkUUbvzgFMQw/s1600/DSCF1348-001.JPG" height="116" width="320" /></a></div>
I painted the background to look like a football or basketball up close with an action silhouette in front. And in the case of the football series, I added my favorite team.<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhf0bHehgtBpCM4Gqz7cEURCtvr-gGOKI4LfGF6NoWK10HVd7uSVUvuGqhYKCDuOBEFLGMQH4DHRUVBzwtSBa_KMW2SyAHeZcQBodK3Og3RlD9-XaAKTZb7MU1apWOCr0GW7ONrOgiOrw/s1600/DSCF1348-002.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhf0bHehgtBpCM4Gqz7cEURCtvr-gGOKI4LfGF6NoWK10HVd7uSVUvuGqhYKCDuOBEFLGMQH4DHRUVBzwtSBa_KMW2SyAHeZcQBodK3Og3RlD9-XaAKTZb7MU1apWOCr0GW7ONrOgiOrw/s1600/DSCF1348-002.JPG" height="105" width="320" /></a></div>
But with the basketball series I left it plain. It's difficult to tell in photographs but the background is textured like a basketball or football. I had plans to make a series for baseball, but have run out of time before the Open House. After the Open House I will be listing these in my Etsy Shop and will show you how the baseball series turns out. Thanks for stopping by.Full Circle Creationshttp://www.blogger.com/profile/04817022436401694119noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4716327704011339350.post-66399228005244678222014-09-22T12:30:00.000-05:002014-09-22T12:30:00.301-05:00Welcome...Hi Everyone! Just a few more days until my Fall Open House....I have a bunch of small things left to do...most of the big things are done. Today I thought I'd show you a welcome sign I made. My aunt Barb gave me an old newel post (sorry, no before pictures) that was weathered. <br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgcWo-0p5f3spmVCLMpOfJzAf3YlqPp0I32fg5glQHuDhtP23aGbnU2RX4XKlF0mR0ANfq_Dxan652yenXOfargjEJu3uoMdGDbwFmEGnW5nF2C-GL7O6zzr1GpA_i4xHS9ILVjnLfnkA/s1600/DSCF1337-1.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgcWo-0p5f3spmVCLMpOfJzAf3YlqPp0I32fg5glQHuDhtP23aGbnU2RX4XKlF0mR0ANfq_Dxan652yenXOfargjEJu3uoMdGDbwFmEGnW5nF2C-GL7O6zzr1GpA_i4xHS9ILVjnLfnkA/s1600/DSCF1337-1.JPG" height="320" width="167" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>
Using a chisel and a hammer, I took apart the three boards that made up the newel post. One of the boards became this...I painted it black, lightly sanded it, then added the pip berry wreath and the hand painted Welcome Friends sign. It will be available at my Fall Open House this weekend. Thanks for stopping by.Full Circle Creationshttp://www.blogger.com/profile/04817022436401694119noreply@blogger.com2tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4716327704011339350.post-14464631704563391872014-09-21T11:14:00.002-05:002014-09-25T20:56:20.632-05:00Yardstick console table...Hi Everyone! Things are in high gear at the Studio! My to do list should be getting shorter as I cross items off but unfortunately it seems to be growing. I keep thinking of other things I've forgotten to do. Today I'm busy putting the majority of my supplies away (a few have to stay out so I can finish a few projects) and cleaning my house. But today I thought I'd show you the project I finished up last weekend. I made this yardstick console table from 100% scrap pieces and recycled items.<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhKBL5U0mVdt5AxJBBftI5KRLH2iHK0gDPcFxuAa4HrdPA2LckK-WBZtI3qqjoPOCBundiuigAiX6Cy0YY2a0cPKJuo3P9IDYS2KM9QTo45ZhNJWhK-eVroxj7EqocGmkE1nEY8JbXCog/s1600/DSCF1242-001.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhKBL5U0mVdt5AxJBBftI5KRLH2iHK0gDPcFxuAa4HrdPA2LckK-WBZtI3qqjoPOCBundiuigAiX6Cy0YY2a0cPKJuo3P9IDYS2KM9QTo45ZhNJWhK-eVroxj7EqocGmkE1nEY8JbXCog/s1600/DSCF1242-001.JPG" height="320" width="302" /></a></div>
My friend Lynett picked up the spindles for me and I think I put them to good use. <br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjs-3cQlIaqWLNjoOzGMD7egoywJ__Dln_LOhbkp4Stgf-5b4pAw5SIhX9a5KkasmWOfgni08O6xjIYlhRhrNxXgNrSqZbmBd4fjl4pufHlT-1zwbdBuQiGW-CRf6B9LAJBC_b2h5e2Pg/s1600/DSCF1227-001.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjs-3cQlIaqWLNjoOzGMD7egoywJ__Dln_LOhbkp4Stgf-5b4pAw5SIhX9a5KkasmWOfgni08O6xjIYlhRhrNxXgNrSqZbmBd4fjl4pufHlT-1zwbdBuQiGW-CRf6B9LAJBC_b2h5e2Pg/s1600/DSCF1227-001.JPG" height="308" width="320" /></a></div>
The boards I used for the apron came from my shelf tower of scraps. The size of the table was determined by the scraps I had on hand. I put it together using my Kreg Jr., glue and my trusty nail gun.<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhpsjB9N-uDwbUpTPw0rwTVTqhyphenhyphenztwruxK9CpuI-YjcFLZ2I-7BouG3GbHfq5FMrAXragQ-KKW1wOUsH4QtBM__2SfNmAobJxUKG8I6_ZJlB8s270Fdie2EzUzif-xMq8vAIvF8xV3eBQ/s1600/DSCF1231-001.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhpsjB9N-uDwbUpTPw0rwTVTqhyphenhyphenztwruxK9CpuI-YjcFLZ2I-7BouG3GbHfq5FMrAXragQ-KKW1wOUsH4QtBM__2SfNmAobJxUKG8I6_ZJlB8s270Fdie2EzUzif-xMq8vAIvF8xV3eBQ/s1600/DSCF1231-001.JPG" height="233" width="320" /></a></div>
The drawer was recycled from my kitchen makeover with two new side boards and a new front that came from my scrap pile.<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiO3OL3wNU22U6ca4j_z2UlTfYW8yrpm9AXOjqJcYxivL9G1f_H9rmapCYhtu2WIJrIl6D8NMefiO1JEZrkYTqgg-IGiKU47XtS8lE4TTu4WzufJmivUqolu7W18cj2HxUMgaxurpzPWw/s1600/DSCF1233-001.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiO3OL3wNU22U6ca4j_z2UlTfYW8yrpm9AXOjqJcYxivL9G1f_H9rmapCYhtu2WIJrIl6D8NMefiO1JEZrkYTqgg-IGiKU47XtS8lE4TTu4WzufJmivUqolu7W18cj2HxUMgaxurpzPWw/s1600/DSCF1233-001.JPG" height="260" width="320" /></a></div>
I sanded the whole thing and painted it black.<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjNsYFUMBSUXnrmuRCLjRSt43EN_8zzgjnKuIGQBX87cjKk3Vuzbpvl8Y16fmNzqqTij-sGFsF_Tu_8tceRNN6g8taKb1a3Ez9G_uar44-Qu7J4u55eFKVKPfvE64hXZUkdqEFLFLG64A/s1600/DSCF1240-001.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjNsYFUMBSUXnrmuRCLjRSt43EN_8zzgjnKuIGQBX87cjKk3Vuzbpvl8Y16fmNzqqTij-sGFsF_Tu_8tceRNN6g8taKb1a3Ez9G_uar44-Qu7J4u55eFKVKPfvE64hXZUkdqEFLFLG64A/s1600/DSCF1240-001.JPG" height="221" width="320" /></a></div>
The top is made from a piece of scrap plywood left over from a bench seat. I painted it black and attached it to the base. Then I glued and nailed the yardsticks. I didn't want to cut down the yardsticks so the top is 36" long.<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiI3e98eIqHhHYeANgg914z8dP8el8BmPRxGz6wnQw_Aanz7bNSfQsH3RdpX2yjIcg5xc2JlIGy3_mhAI8MC4nRudAzDyg-HWsBMtan9t516jYDcBrapTMZR8E_DiqzyN1eTBEEcQXUdQ/s1600/DSCF1241-001.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiI3e98eIqHhHYeANgg914z8dP8el8BmPRxGz6wnQw_Aanz7bNSfQsH3RdpX2yjIcg5xc2JlIGy3_mhAI8MC4nRudAzDyg-HWsBMtan9t516jYDcBrapTMZR8E_DiqzyN1eTBEEcQXUdQ/s1600/DSCF1241-001.JPG" height="183" width="320" /></a></div>
I added supports at the base so I could add a shelf.<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgRaRqhEjY8xQ_Lrfc8rMCaJtMV4Tb4fXCvSTUe7UWCIWWgRfv5lMljo9U27S91Y2W2-wKaPj2GsZuR9HvV8NTMaInqWAT3Q0LkfqBEVZg4iKJSUfSNRv_8NrMGeYvWQW0ZgQqRoPsO6A/s1600/DSCF1301-001.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgRaRqhEjY8xQ_Lrfc8rMCaJtMV4Tb4fXCvSTUe7UWCIWWgRfv5lMljo9U27S91Y2W2-wKaPj2GsZuR9HvV8NTMaInqWAT3Q0LkfqBEVZg4iKJSUfSNRv_8NrMGeYvWQW0ZgQqRoPsO6A/s1600/DSCF1301-001.JPG" height="261" width="320" /></a></div>
The only thing I wasn't so sure about was the drawer pull. I wanted something unique.<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiDpc426qhMJPmN3So_0yzyhqkWmXwvW9JmRv-sg2Z0AkD9wF1VgZ4mqXu25iCplZQWY7TaW60jxzTUMWbpqYBSisUkQNVbX-AzF_2gnn1MRB1w7-HNwyy1S2T4qCQwmUr_ktLmYDFb3A/s1600/DSCF1299-001.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiDpc426qhMJPmN3So_0yzyhqkWmXwvW9JmRv-sg2Z0AkD9wF1VgZ4mqXu25iCplZQWY7TaW60jxzTUMWbpqYBSisUkQNVbX-AzF_2gnn1MRB1w7-HNwyy1S2T4qCQwmUr_ktLmYDFb3A/s1600/DSCF1299-001.JPG" height="227" width="320" /></a></div>
I sealed the top and loved the way it brought out the colors in the yardsticks.<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEi5Bbp8tFeWEzjeOr1eh3QUP_zQxEUpb1u6yL0TIDfnYnTor-r-twqz7qBo-hW2ffi0rONUZUnEbNi8mfsxnrrJnlTwREBj9ROvB2q57NRANLLtRMhqvtquPCzKiiMXsdpsrCLq1LZJxw/s1600/DSCF1305-001.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEi5Bbp8tFeWEzjeOr1eh3QUP_zQxEUpb1u6yL0TIDfnYnTor-r-twqz7qBo-hW2ffi0rONUZUnEbNi8mfsxnrrJnlTwREBj9ROvB2q57NRANLLtRMhqvtquPCzKiiMXsdpsrCLq1LZJxw/s1600/DSCF1305-001.JPG" height="265" width="320" /></a></div>
I love the way it looks in the studio. I have staged it in the middle of the front room....as the focal point when you walk in the door.<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhKBL5U0mVdt5AxJBBftI5KRLH2iHK0gDPcFxuAa4HrdPA2LckK-WBZtI3qqjoPOCBundiuigAiX6Cy0YY2a0cPKJuo3P9IDYS2KM9QTo45ZhNJWhK-eVroxj7EqocGmkE1nEY8JbXCog/s1600/DSCF1242-001.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhKBL5U0mVdt5AxJBBftI5KRLH2iHK0gDPcFxuAa4HrdPA2LckK-WBZtI3qqjoPOCBundiuigAiX6Cy0YY2a0cPKJuo3P9IDYS2KM9QTo45ZhNJWhK-eVroxj7EqocGmkE1nEY8JbXCog/s1600/DSCF1242-001.JPG" height="320" width="302" /></a></div>
But when I took these pictures I still hadn't figured out the drawer pull.....<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjoHwIVcbLGG69bPzxprzVLU83vnBvv3ha6ETzFwCnM-bT2kP3U_8ttZ0OY5B2dVvEFjv6Cqn7vo_H9hFFkFiWZae0R5eeX6hG3CrPbLYFzxi5BCx7zcgOp2dNc9O-uyLBk_XMBzzBsmg/s1600/DSCF1314-001.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjoHwIVcbLGG69bPzxprzVLU83vnBvv3ha6ETzFwCnM-bT2kP3U_8ttZ0OY5B2dVvEFjv6Cqn7vo_H9hFFkFiWZae0R5eeX6hG3CrPbLYFzxi5BCx7zcgOp2dNc9O-uyLBk_XMBzzBsmg/s1600/DSCF1314-001.JPG" height="305" width="320" /></a></div>
.....but there is a surprise when you open the drawer....my favorite bold color, Lagoon.<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

It can be used as an entry table, a sofa table or add some hooks to the sides and wheels to the bottom and it can become a small kitchen island. Or if you have a tall bed, it can be a bed side table.<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

I love the way it looks on the rug I put in the Studio.<br />

And I finally figured out what the drawer pull needed to be...a yardstick that I cut down to size.<br />

I really love the way it turned out. It will be available at my Fall Open House on Friday and Saturday. Now I need to get back to work and finish cleaning the Studio so I can get back to completing those last 20 projects that are in various stages in the shop and on my Studio table. Have a great weekend! Thanks for stopping by.<br />

One week until my Fall Open House and preparations are underway. Last night I spent some time decorating my front porch which leads directly into my Studio. Last year my friend Lynett picked up this Jenny Lind high chair which was in perfect condition but needed a facelift. I removed the safety straps (but I still have them and they can be reattached) and gave it a couple of coats of Heirloom White paint.<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhUqFfXitykU0pyHN_UOE0_aBrZDa0JP3YorttcQ3XdRC4_rRb446sI6w2GMa0wMagMIB7zcQv5-KADA3qM_Huvrfx-cvsseCaS8rM3cTObNu9RU7XNB5dQTJnA3NcsCh7kyQT3w46Sow/s1600/DSCF1283-001.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhUqFfXitykU0pyHN_UOE0_aBrZDa0JP3YorttcQ3XdRC4_rRb446sI6w2GMa0wMagMIB7zcQv5-KADA3qM_Huvrfx-cvsseCaS8rM3cTObNu9RU7XNB5dQTJnA3NcsCh7kyQT3w46Sow/s1600/DSCF1283-001.JPG" height="306" width="320" /></a></div>
I had in invisioned it as a high chair for a little girl to use with her dolls but then decided to use it as a unique display piece.<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjOt56WYd4T4_zVk5DtmZICzY9fp3BtkI4YXeCk_3xVxv1olFvzh1mujKMdG5oLhsdtbaVV9h-pc5ufZIOxrxLWusC6U_OKgJrKe-zkLTKo9jpVvSKih4gpPNwvyhqvhz7Upabn2OOMnQ/s1600/DSCF1285-001.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjOt56WYd4T4_zVk5DtmZICzY9fp3BtkI4YXeCk_3xVxv1olFvzh1mujKMdG5oLhsdtbaVV9h-pc5ufZIOxrxLWusC6U_OKgJrKe-zkLTKo9jpVvSKih4gpPNwvyhqvhz7Upabn2OOMnQ/s1600/DSCF1285-001.JPG" height="320" width="210" /></a></div>
I added three small pots of mums in an antique kettle. I removed the tray (it is propped up by the chair and wall. Then added a couple of grapevine trees and a few pumpkins.<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

I think I need to add a few more pumpkins and the welcome sign I'm working on.<br />

What would you have done with it? It will be available next weekend at my open house. The big push is on to get the Studio set up this weekend and finish the last few projects. My mom is coming over on Sunday to help me out and give it the Mom-Seal-of-Approval! What are you doing this weekend? Thanks for stopping by.<br />

I'm busy getting ready for my Fall Open House next Friday but last night I went to my parents home to drop off some boards for my mom to paint for me and I was treated to supper, thanks Mom and Dad! And my mother presented me with a Fall Wreath for the front door of my Studio that she made for me! <br />

<div style="text-align: center;">
It's perfect! And goes nicely with the other items that are on the front porch.</div>

I have several new silhouette paintings for my Fall Open House and I thought I would share this one with you tonight. This is one of my mother's favorites. She says it all the time so I thought I'd make one in honor of her.<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

<div style="text-align: center;">
It's simple but I think it turned out pretty well.</div>

Thanks for stopping by!Full Circle Creationshttp://www.blogger.com/profile/04817022436401694119noreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4716327704011339350.post-28666285891182325832014-09-18T08:00:00.000-05:002014-09-18T08:00:00.269-05:00Little chairs....Hi Everyone! I'm still getting things ready for my Open House next week and wanted to show you these chairs that my friend Lynett found at Goodwill and called me to see if I'd want them earlier this year. They are vintage kids chairs that are in really good shape.<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhX11yqHuX0bFQ0eDZVobSz7B9HTeTQV9dZuf2xa5YQ0P8B19MriHyA3t3tevrq2dn6aXUInINohkFKVYDkZVfm6N80XqkGxKOk4a2VBDmQqSeAYAo1Tdka2QyJnGYPEGSEyDIh9FJatg/s1600/antique+kids+chairs.jpeg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhX11yqHuX0bFQ0eDZVobSz7B9HTeTQV9dZuf2xa5YQ0P8B19MriHyA3t3tevrq2dn6aXUInINohkFKVYDkZVfm6N80XqkGxKOk4a2VBDmQqSeAYAo1Tdka2QyJnGYPEGSEyDIh9FJatg/s1600/antique+kids+chairs.jpeg" height="240" width="320" /></a></div>
I had them sitting in the shop for a while then moved them into the studio. I cleaned them up but couldn't decide what to do with them. Should I paint them or decorate them....I cleaned them both up....<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiua59mO3t5MBsg5OIB4r0V0tSiE3mKeMYZRDuovAVunSIaw1V95nWV5m7ly_8FFRWE4APoyHKeF8g0O-snUZCHPLmHt4V2ukIWIz35U320qAocJPXYpuVHh5ieKep9CvXTGg9KsC9Y8Q/s1600/DSCF1279-1.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiua59mO3t5MBsg5OIB4r0V0tSiE3mKeMYZRDuovAVunSIaw1V95nWV5m7ly_8FFRWE4APoyHKeF8g0O-snUZCHPLmHt4V2ukIWIz35U320qAocJPXYpuVHh5ieKep9CvXTGg9KsC9Y8Q/s1600/DSCF1279-1.JPG" height="294" width="320" /></a></div>
...and decided (so far) to not paint this one, but to use it in my pumpkin display in the studio.<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhkTYlI8UgXdT1BsdPcK2EN0S5j1gHGw_7RH6WUeMmgZns1UnEtwiraUqDTQYAR_qvTuLyHQjhxZ2xwlNrK-GpXQHx6IgrNcOKMNHhw_2buNg0oQ88NabpWV4ahbeqBZBEH5JXUuXSd6Q/s1600/DSCF1281-1.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhkTYlI8UgXdT1BsdPcK2EN0S5j1gHGw_7RH6WUeMmgZns1UnEtwiraUqDTQYAR_qvTuLyHQjhxZ2xwlNrK-GpXQHx6IgrNcOKMNHhw_2buNg0oQ88NabpWV4ahbeqBZBEH5JXUuXSd6Q/s1600/DSCF1281-1.JPG" height="320" width="264" /></a></div>
I've thought about decorating it with vines or pip berry garland, but so far I haven't done it. I like the simplicity of it in the display.<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhuIFJOWoLaWAvOu4NGKx9kas7ybUtmMN9TQn8foVlXPu1y0exiLLMnlyIa2jpPUczB6dQr2O8G-MS7iGZzH0RCm_IH0hqWW48ZvH4QxbfJcv0Do-EWbj-EY6FKALdzgUfro-UNrkIZWA/s1600/DSCF1277-1.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhuIFJOWoLaWAvOu4NGKx9kas7ybUtmMN9TQn8foVlXPu1y0exiLLMnlyIa2jpPUczB6dQr2O8G-MS7iGZzH0RCm_IH0hqWW48ZvH4QxbfJcv0Do-EWbj-EY6FKALdzgUfro-UNrkIZWA/s1600/DSCF1277-1.JPG" height="320" width="196" /></a></div>
But I couldn't stop myself from painting this one. And I love how it looks.<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiyL2tWyCDzd2fEsYc7JkROVadsEW_acpDZZdB7bQf9Nyyz6jhMruNUN_gwf1EiBjWsUhUMiUJ6ksNZk4PXIDjjosZUDnN1jjxdUxmzcjYcl9aAXx2nGB8Xuorq0TuTBYS_0fOUy3Xe_A/s1600/DSCF1215-1.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiyL2tWyCDzd2fEsYc7JkROVadsEW_acpDZZdB7bQf9Nyyz6jhMruNUN_gwf1EiBjWsUhUMiUJ6ksNZk4PXIDjjosZUDnN1jjxdUxmzcjYcl9aAXx2nGB8Xuorq0TuTBYS_0fOUy3Xe_A/s1600/DSCF1215-1.JPG" height="320" width="266" /></a></div>
I distressed it and waxed it (lightly) and then displayed it on a table in the studio surrounded by book apples.<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjNfda42NHJcOwVzQ_JTGJBuB5vl6VtGcjSnzIkHC6v7_ddtoyv79KGBhoGAkK9ZyZNnSFAZAsor2NeJel_a7dhf6ePRm2AXZucaoUw1PXTTaiNv0s-6unJt_B4IjRDyHYX6Kj48jBXUw/s1600/DSCF1278-1.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjNfda42NHJcOwVzQ_JTGJBuB5vl6VtGcjSnzIkHC6v7_ddtoyv79KGBhoGAkK9ZyZNnSFAZAsor2NeJel_a7dhf6ePRm2AXZucaoUw1PXTTaiNv0s-6unJt_B4IjRDyHYX6Kj48jBXUw/s1600/DSCF1278-1.JPG" height="320" width="175" /></a></div>
I love it in my studio. It's going to be hard to see these little chairs go because they've become a part of my studio, but I think they will be for sale at my Fall Open House. But if they don't sell, it certainly won't disappoint me! Things are coming together at the Studio for my Fall Open House and I have a lot of things to share with you. I turned a couple of headboards from my stash into shelves with pegs like I've made <a href="http://fullcirclecreations.blogspot.com/2013/04/getting-ready-for-show.html" target="_blank">here</a> and <a href="http://fullcirclecreations.blogspot.com/2013/10/getting-ready-for-next-fair.html" target="_blank">here</a> but this time I used a full size headboard and painted it black.<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjV_Qpm6PrJhulIfHd1eiGbOzV-frI_CKGeGXVjFAfraUsXIAwkRrXh02-XAa8AW0Q-COe1qz43kOemCmRYImbalxvI0G15J6XYJ56L9ih-UDUZC7emiOaPEioT1gb-_pBTUCRgLToqqQ/s1600/DSCF1249-001.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjV_Qpm6PrJhulIfHd1eiGbOzV-frI_CKGeGXVjFAfraUsXIAwkRrXh02-XAa8AW0Q-COe1qz43kOemCmRYImbalxvI0G15J6XYJ56L9ih-UDUZC7emiOaPEioT1gb-_pBTUCRgLToqqQ/s1600/DSCF1249-001.JPG" height="196" width="320" /></a></div>
It's not the best picture but it had been rainy when I built it and I haven't had time to take it back outside for a proper photo shoot.<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEi-JBTNr61e4McD9BzURIOh7cOku7iP6g7uU0aCq3BVIFBPWOsrtsmekkA1RaKABZ3U6pKxS-SEqR1xSjnVcsTISxHc3Mxn0i2aqW1EvWec1nbb0pmIoMxyFUTk8-og5L2Mx9s7oRh7JQ/s1600/DSCF1250-001.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEi-JBTNr61e4McD9BzURIOh7cOku7iP6g7uU0aCq3BVIFBPWOsrtsmekkA1RaKABZ3U6pKxS-SEqR1xSjnVcsTISxHc3Mxn0i2aqW1EvWec1nbb0pmIoMxyFUTk8-og5L2Mx9s7oRh7JQ/s1600/DSCF1250-001.JPG" height="115" width="320" /></a></div>
This one and a twin size in white will be available at my Open House next Friday.<br />
Thanks for stopping by.Full Circle Creationshttp://www.blogger.com/profile/04817022436401694119noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4716327704011339350.post-20436683326712800982014-09-16T20:00:00.000-05:002014-09-18T20:19:36.588-05:00A window shelf...Hi Everyone! There's nothing like having fast internet again! It had been running slower and slower until it finally didn't let me log in at all while I waited for my internet company to get new equipment in and then finally upgraded. And now that it has I can once again upload pictures to share with you! I have a stack of window frames and unfortunately I don't have or can't find a before picture. <br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEheE6ORt6e2y_hhSvpoIe9p4F7CbFD1rw2aSMZB-Qq2HXP7VDQ7vHclugS06-BJxhUwqVZ168VqRbXrG8quyGhHSGMVrMZWAmXoCQO1kCRzoswpROGhZQCApFVWwwGdZaFBUlDfQegVyA/s1600/DSCF1251-001.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEheE6ORt6e2y_hhSvpoIe9p4F7CbFD1rw2aSMZB-Qq2HXP7VDQ7vHclugS06-BJxhUwqVZ168VqRbXrG8quyGhHSGMVrMZWAmXoCQO1kCRzoswpROGhZQCApFVWwwGdZaFBUlDfQegVyA/s1600/DSCF1251-001.JPG" height="255" width="320" /></a></div>
It had broken glass panes that I carefully removed and then cleaned and scrubbed the window...then added a shelf to one side and a flat board to the opposite side to give it a more finished look.<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEi7EcjpDr5CkcBtaKGW0jTmQqjl8hKcBmF7I4oiyJ4SD6JINkl1b0cBiGgBf-aEKA9DmQ6B-n8-NSFxu5w2M2xNcPyKVVqUAR7DA4xJG36UDVw9HWznuCuBME8AUhl6WY2fTFN8LkUz8A/s1600/DSCF1252-001.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEi7EcjpDr5CkcBtaKGW0jTmQqjl8hKcBmF7I4oiyJ4SD6JINkl1b0cBiGgBf-aEKA9DmQ6B-n8-NSFxu5w2M2xNcPyKVVqUAR7DA4xJG36UDVw9HWznuCuBME8AUhl6WY2fTFN8LkUz8A/s1600/DSCF1252-001.JPG" height="263" width="320" /></a></div>
I painted the whole thing black and then a top coat of white and then sanded. I turned a pip berry garland into a wreath and hung it in front of the window. Something simple yet cute and an easy way to turn a broken window destined for the dump into something useful and cute. It will be available at my Fall Open House next Friday. Thanks for stopping by.<br />

Now that my Internet is back up and running, I have lots of things to share with you....beginning with this little side table that my friend Lynett picked up for me at Goodwill.<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEj7YhC_HoaZ6o83G6K0CdzGy3P62tApivUos9y4UiZJiKWaXXSxaEm83YVPi6-XluOW8aYnQx2RpPESgbuKNC2lXqFXlmpCNU13knDxU0lGVoAFSkpLXPY9SLBii1coJv2Xm8N1BpTROA/s1600/green+side+table.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEj7YhC_HoaZ6o83G6K0CdzGy3P62tApivUos9y4UiZJiKWaXXSxaEm83YVPi6-XluOW8aYnQx2RpPESgbuKNC2lXqFXlmpCNU13knDxU0lGVoAFSkpLXPY9SLBii1coJv2Xm8N1BpTROA/s1600/green+side+table.jpg" height="320" width="240" /></a></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
It was cute as is but I thought the hunter green and light colored top were a little old looking....</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEicFv5Bo9DSwDQK9VmHKqd8AADwVvrLOP4V7gzkQuw8UPRcofZWpa5AyxyjpUITl2L4hnaLZmhW20fuQHncUzRzD2y_vE1ofTFLuRMAXAcTY4h4RgO_hNQudMLGZ2v0Clliy155_v2zpQ/s1600/DSCF1268-001.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEicFv5Bo9DSwDQK9VmHKqd8AADwVvrLOP4V7gzkQuw8UPRcofZWpa5AyxyjpUITl2L4hnaLZmhW20fuQHncUzRzD2y_vE1ofTFLuRMAXAcTY4h4RgO_hNQudMLGZ2v0Clliy155_v2zpQ/s1600/DSCF1268-001.JPG" height="320" width="236" /></a></div>

...I like the bold color and am happy with how it turned out. It's the perfect size for a side table next to a bed or chair and provides a little bit of storage. It will be available at my Open House next weekend. Thanks for stopping by.<br />
