Free Stuff...

Hi Everyone!  I still don't have a finished project to show you, so instead I thought I'd show you the free wicker chair I received a couple of weeks ago.  One of the guys from work delivered this to the shop.  His wife was going to throw it away and he thought maybe I could do something with it.  It needs a bit of work and maybe a paint job.
It's a pretty comfortable chair.  And I'm thinking about upholstering a seat for the chair...which is why the board is there.....
...because there is a hole in the seat.  Structurally the seat is fine, but the wicker is missing ...so I'm thinking if  I upholster the board and attach it to the frame it will take care of the seat.  Would you keep it or pitch it?  Thanks for stopping by.

  1. Totally keep it! Spray it down with a bleach water solution and set it in the sun first to clean it- then paint away! Wicker DOES take a lot of paint though- you have to get in all those little spaces. But this piece has a very unique shape- I would definitely keep it!

  2. I think it will look great with an upholstered seat! Worth a shot, anyway.

  3. I would pitch it, because I'm a little lazy these days... but I think YOU should fix it up.

It would be SO easy to spray with your command max! Seriously, so little overspray. You just need a little corner somewhere. GET it out and USE it! :) When you finally do, I think you'll wonder why you waited so long. hahaha

  4. That chair definitely made it into the right hands. Can't wait to see how you transform it.

  5. Definitely keep it, with a padded seat, it will look perfect, and personally I wouldn't even spray it. I'd love to have it in my garden !
