Pre-fair madness....

Hi Everyone!  It's been a long day....week...month.  I've been getting ready for the Clarinda Craft Carnival this weekend.  Tonight I finished upholstering a bench seat, made a bulletin board frame, some flower magnets and flower push pins and then packed up all the small items.  The only thing left to do is pack up the sheet music wreaths but I always wait until the last minute to do that so they don't get crushed.  Tomorrow I work in the morning, pick up the trailer at 1:00 pm, then pack up the trailer and head to Clarinda to set up at 4 pm.  I'm taking more furniture than I've taken to this fair before so we'll see if that's the right thing to do.
A little peek at a few of the benches I'm taking.  I built this one to look old and painted the base in Lagoon, stained the top and then grey washed it and added the stripes.  I distressed the whole thing to give it an aged look.  I'll take better pictures of it after setting up my booth.
I painted this twin bench in Old Paris and I love the fabric on the seat.  A modern fabric on an antique twin headboard and foot board.  Isn't it fun!
I love how this one turned out.  Distressed black with a black, cream and green upholstered seat.  Again, I'll take better pictures of it once it's in my booth.  If you are in the area, I'll be at the Pavilion in Clarinda, IA on Saturday, stop by and say hi.  Thanks for stopping by.

  3. The black bench turned out great and I love the patterned fabrics you've used. I hope the weekend is going well Holly after all your hard work (I think Gail has given you some great advice).
