New things at the farm....

Hi Everyone!  I know it's been a while since I've been here and I do apologize for that, a lot of things have been happening here at Full Circle Creations and Full Circle Farm.  I've enlisted my mom (thanks Mom) to help me get some things done in anticipation of the upcoming Arbor Day fair at the end of the month and my first Open House at the Studio.  I promise I have new things to share with you once they are done.  But the big thing that's happened here at the farm is my new roof.
I didn't get a chance to take a before picture (although I'm sure I have one somewhere).  The roofers came a couple of weeks ago and set up the scaffolding and then the weather turned on them until they could start last Tuesday (it snowed last Monday).  I didn't know they were starting until I came home from lunch.
They started with the two story part of the house.
That part took them two and a half days to complete.  Then one guy did the front porch while two of them removed the shingles from the one story part of the house (which is where the Studio is).
Then the last day they finished the one story portion and cleaned up.  There's a flat roof on the back side of the house that still needs to be done, but that's on the agenda for next year.  It is the roof of several additions that include the back porch, pantry and bathroom which has a tarred roof on it.
Mom and Dad picked out the shingles last year.  We were to be the last roof they were going to do last year, but the weather turned on them before they could get started so instead we became the first roof of this year.  They did a great job on the roof and now I've got work to do on the garden beds before the Open House at the end of May.  So much to do...hopefully I can get it all done in time.  Thanks for stopping by.

  1. Inquiring minds want to know if any of the roofers were good looking?

  4. It’s good news that everything turned out well. That’s why it is very important to find a reliable roofing contractor. Aside from quality service, you can be assured that your roof is in good hands.

  6. What a big job to get the roof done, but now it's done and should last a long, long time! You have a very pretty house, I think this is the first time I have seen the whole building.....very cozy, very country farmhouse! Diane

  8. Your new roof looks awesome! Also, you were lucky that you were tended to first rather than the original plan. It really helps to hire a reliable roofing contractor to handle your roof problems. You can be assured of a fast and quality service and that nothing is wasted.
