Snowing and blowing up bushels of fun...

Hi Everyone!  It snowed last night.  We got about 5 inches of snow and it has been blowing all night...
...and it's suppose to blow all day today....
...schools are closed...and I'm not going to work today...I'm staying right where I am...except for when the dogs need to go out and I have to shovel snow just to find the dogs tie outs.

I'm going to use today to try to finish up a few projects so I hopefully have something new to share with you soon.  Thanks for stopping by.

A beautiful sight...

Happy Sunday Everyone!  Well the storm has passed and left me with a beautiful winter wonderland.
It's crisp out this morning, 26 degrees.  But we're supposed to reach a high of 40.  So that means the snow will start melting today.
The wind has died down too.
Do you wanna go sledding?  Or build a snowman?
Or make snow angels with me?  I wish we had a snowmobile.  Wouldn't that be fun?
My little shrubs aren't too happy right now, but once the temp comes back up, so will they.  I think I'll head back in and finish a few projects this morning because this afternoon I need to run to town.  I'm gonna wait until the temp rises and then maybe the roads won't be so icy.  I hope you enjoy your Sunday.  Thanks for stopping by.

In the meadow we can build a snowman....

Hi Everyone!  Well, the snow started and it's still snowing.  This is what it looked like outside my back door at 7:00 this morning.

I tried to make it into work this morning, but had a little bit of trouble with the four wheel drive on the truck and got stuck trying to go up a hill.  I called my boss Chris (he just happened to be heading by from his parents farm - they live a couple miles up the road from me and my other boss lives a mile down the road the other direction), he just happen to be a minute from me, he had the magic touch and got the truck to stay in four wheel drive.  Then he followed me up the hill until I could turn around and followed me back to the farm, where he told me to stay, so no work today!!!!!!!!!!!!!
And this is how it looked about 20 minutes ago.  It is the wettest snow I've ever seen.  Which also means that it is heavy.  So hopefully there won't be any problems with the power lines.  Keep your fingers crossed that the electricity stays on!
I won't be out in the shop today...so no building.  I have some signs that I need to finish up (they are all in the house!).  Maybe today is a good day to do some planning and cleaning and rearranging...or there's always that book I've been trying to read for months but haven't had the time.
Here's hoping that you and your families are safe and enjoying this weekend.  And that no one gets stuck out in this weather.
Thanks for stopping by.  I think I'll go find that book.....

Walking in a Winter Wonderland....

Hi Everyone!  This is what I woke up to this morning.
.....in the meadow we can build a snowman...(maybe later today).
This is the view from my back step.  The dogs were excited to see the snow.  And although it's really cold today, I do like the snow.  Everything looks so beautiful and if it has to be cold then I want to see snow.  We just got 2 inches and that's enough.  But the wind is really blowing and making large piles of it around the house and out buildings.

I'm just glad I didn't have to work today.  So I didn't have to brave the roads before the road crews were out and about.  I do have to go to town later.  I have to mail a sign I made for a client and I have to pick up the mail for the snowbirds.  And I have tons of things to get done today!  Thanks for stopping by!

Snow...

Hi Everyone!  Sorry I've been absent this week.  My foot is on the mend, but it's not 100% yet.  So it's been hard to be motivated to work out in the shop and stand on a concrete floor, so needless to say, I'm behind again.  And tonight is my work Christmas party, so I'll have to try to squeeze some shop time in this afternoon and tomorrow.  We had snow Thursday late afternoon and into the evening.  So this is what I awoke to yesterday morning.  I love snow.  I love to watch it snow and how wonderful it looks right after it snows, before it gets trampled and dirty looking.  So I had to snap this picture before the dogs (who love the snow almost as much as I do) hit the yard and messed up my pretty snow picture!
And then this morning we had fog that frosted everything.  I loved how it looked so while I was waiting for the dogs first thing this morning, I grabbed my camera and took some pictures.

And when I turned to go back in I saw the start of the lunar eclipse, so of course I had to take a picture.  Did you see the lunar eclipse this morning?

I promise to get back to some more projects, hopefully I have something to show you tomorrow.  Well, thanks for stopping by.
