I loved this piece as soon as I saw it advertised for the auction...but I didn't love the orange color.
I still can't believe I was the winning bidder on this piece. I brought it home and it's been sitting in the studio, untouched, ever since. Until Friday night that is....
I love the legs! They are gorgeous!
And the details are incredible!
I painted it in Annie Sloan Chalk Paint in Old White. I distressed it lightly.
I love how the paint brought out the details....
...and I was able to reuse the hardware...I just cleaned them up a bit.
As soon as it was painted, it just made me smile. I think it looks so much better this way. What do you think? Would you distress it a bit more?...or leave it lightly distressed?
