This is what I did with the middle section of the door. I cut it apart, sanded it and added chair part pegs to it.
Then I hand painted the welcome and the love birds to the center.
I love the chippy look on the edges. These are some of my favorite pegs.
I put a sealer on the sign to keep the paint from chipping anymore.
This is one of my favorite signs. I love the fact that the door parts are still intact. I would love to keep this one but I have no wall space for it. So it will be going with me next weekend to the craft fair where it will hopefully find it's new home. I got a lot done today on my day off. But unfortunately, I didn't finish any of the things I was working on. I have more projects to finish after work for the rest of the week. As always, thanks for stopping by!Linking to:

You have a steady hand, love the sign...I have a few cabinet doors that I want to turn into something but I'm waiting until I finally get a Cameo someday, hopefully soon, because I cannot paint at all!
ReplyDeleteLove it! It's a shame there's no room for it at your house. But what a lucky find for someone at the craft fair. Good luck with your event.
ReplyDeleteLove the new door creation. I'm sure someone at the craft fair will love it and want it for their very own.
ReplyDeleteBrilliant! Love this new look from the old door. I am sure it will sell at your craft fair. Diane
ReplyDeleteLooks great, even if you had to cut a door to get it ;)
