A hodge podge of things...

Hi Everyone! It seems like forever since I've had a project to share with you. I, like all of you, have been busy. Busy filling orders, but unfortunately, not working on anything new. It's all things you've seen before.
 Like this family tree painting...
...but with a twist...due to a popular request, I now add the family name and Est. Date to it.  And I've had lots of orders for this one.
Several orders for my reindeer sign....
...and several orders for this Faith, Family, Farming sign....
....and this custom Fresh Farm Eggs...the original had a group of eggs at the end but this client wanted the price...I think this looks better than the original...
I'm currently working on this American Flag for a client...and I'm making one to replace the one I had in my studio that sold.
I haven't decorated for Christmas yet...although I do have a couple of trees left over from the craft fair that are currently on display in the studio...
...along with this hand painted snowman sign......which may be all I get done this year if the orders keep coming in.  I'm also working on a custom bench...
 ...using this headboard....
...and a coffee table storage box like this black one with the apple green fabric...only in oranges and browns.  So that's a little of what's going on here and why you haven't seen anything new yet.  I promise to bring you new things just as soon as I can.  Thanks for stopping by.

It's feature time...

Hi Everyone!  It's feature time again!  A big thank you to everyone that linked up to our party.  It certainly wouldn't be a party without guests like you!  Thanks for making it wonderful!
Now the hard part......picking out my favorites.  And as usual you guys make it very difficult each week for me to pick my favorites because there are just so many wonderful projects linked up.

We had our first snow yesterday although it did not stick to the ground but it was absolutely beautiful to watch the flakes float down.  I was at work and had a difficult time concentrating once the snow started falling.  I took a few minutes to watch the flakes dance around and to the ground and let myself daydream a bit.  I love to watch it snow, it always feels so magical.  And now I am in the mood for Christmas so the features this week are Christmas related.

Now on with the show...

Check out the upcycled wood decorations by Amanda @ Bullfrogs & Bulldogs.  I love the stripes!

I adore these stockings by Crystelle @ Crystelle Boutique.  Aren't they wonderful!

These paper trees by Sarah @ Alderberry Hill are so sweet.  I could make these for the tree in my studio...Thanks for the inspiration Sarah!

A black stand...

Hi Everyone!  I thought I'd share with you tonight one of the custom orders I finished and delivered this week to a repeat client.  Can I just say how much I love repeat customers!  They are the best.
This the fourth stand like this that I've made for this client.
It's easy to make using 1x12's and 1x4's cut down for the body and shelves.
I think it takes me longer to sand and paint it than it does to build it.
I used two 1x8's for the top.  They allow for the best overhang without wasting lumber.
And here it is finished and painted black.
A look from three sides....
...and Bo just had to get in the picture.  I delivered it Wednesday night to a very happy client.  Wednesday (yesterday) was a busy day for me.  I had to work all day, took three orders for signs, sold a mess of Christmas decorations to another repeat client and then delivered this.  Now I need to get busy working on those signs.  I hope you're having a great week too.  Thanks for stopping by.

I also want to thank Korrie from Red Hen Home for being such a gracious guest co-host.  Thanks again Korrie!
Now the hard part......picking out my favorites.  You guys make it very difficult each week for me to pick my favorites because there are just so many wonderful projects linked up.  Now on with the show...

I have to begin with this library ladder from Amy @ While Wearing Heels.  I absolutely love this.  A great use of vertical space.  Isn't it gorgeous!  I wish my panty looked like this!  Great job Amy!
Amy @ While Hearing Heels

I still have a soft spot for all things British...one day I'll get to visit!  But in the meantime, I will just drool over this rescued trunk from Julie @ Renew, Create, Restore.  I just love the aged wood with painted top and the added wheels make it that more wonderful.  Great job!
Julie @ Renew, Create, Restore

Have I ever told you how much I love yellow?  The right shade of yellow...well I do and this is it.  It makes me smile!  I love the numbers that Terri @ Fresh Cut Flours added to the inside drawers.  LOVE IT!
Terri @ Fresh Cut Flours

Did someone say chocolate AND peanut butter?  Julie @ White Lights On Wednesday put two of my favorite things together to make Reese's Peanut Butter Bark.  YUMMY!  I'd make some of this but then I'd eat the whole thing myself too.  So instead I will just drool over the picture on my screen....maybe I'll make it my screen saver....

Wooden stocking...

Hi Everyone!  I hope your week is going well.  I thought I'd show you one of the items I made for the fair last month that didn't sell.
This wooden stocking for your wall or front door.
I drew a stocking onto a scrap of wood and cut it out with my jigsaw.  Then I sanded it smooth.  I aged it with a mixture of vinegar and steel wool that had been aging for a few weeks on the back porch.
I added the ribbon, pip berries and greenery.
It's simple and something I hadn't done before.  But it didn't sell.  Maybe I'll have to hang it on my front door this holiday season.  Thanks for stopping by.
