It's feature time...

Hi Everyone!  It's time for this weeks features.  I want to start by saying thank you to everyone that linked up to our party.  I can't believe all the link ups we had this week.  I had a great time visiting and meeting each one of you.
Now the hard part......picking out my favorites.  You guys make it very difficult each week for me to pick my favorites because there are just so many wonderful projects linked up.  Now on with the show...

First up is this Trestle Table made from recycled barn wood.  You all know how much I love working with recycled barn wood so I was in love as soon as I saw it.  Isn't it gorgeous!  They did a wonderful job with this as well as the barn that the table is sitting in.
Jim and Mary @ Old World Garden Farms

Next is this wire basket light fixture.  I love the way it turned out.  I have a light I need to do something with so I just might have to "borrow" this idea.  Great job!
Liz Marie @ Liz Marie Blog

Next up is this carved buffet that Beth made over with Milk Paint.  I adore this.  The close up pictures are wonderful of all the details.  I will definitely be on the look out for something like this.
Beth @ Make Me Pretty Again

Then we have the cutest baby shower party favors.  I love this idea of the back stage passes.  Such a cool  idea.  I want to have a party with back stage passes...now to just come up with a party!
Amy @ While Wearing Heels

And last, but definitely not least are the Orange Crush Cupcakes.  Growing up I loved Orange Crush Soda.  A delicious idea and she gave us the recipe too.  I'm going to have to try this.  Such a tasty treat!
Julie @ White Lights on Wednesday

Be sure to stop by and say hi to these gals and guy.  It will definitely be worth it.  And if you've been featured, please grab a featured button.

Serpentine dresser reveal and an announcement....

Hi Everyone!  I hope your weekend was great.  I've had a very productive weekend working on my studio.  I'm getting closer to being done with it.  Thank goodness because I have a lot of work to do to get ready for the fall craft season which will be here before I know it.

If you recall, I showed you almost two weeks ago a dresser that I picked up for $20, you can see that here.
There really wasn't anything terrible about the finish on this dresser.  It had a small water ring on the top but I didn't really like the orange wood look.  I have several other things that are this color that I would NOT paint because they are very special pieces to me.  I know that there are some of you out there that believe you shouldn't paint a piece of furniture like this, so if that's you, then please stop reading at this point!  Otherwise, please feel free to continue reading.  And know that I bought this dresser for the express purpose of painting it.
And here it is.  I stripped the top and stained it with dark walnut.  I used a product I hadn't used before, it's a foam stain.  And it worked wonderfully.
I painted it with Annie Sloan Chalk Paint.  I painted the body in Graphite and the drawer fronts in Old White.  For the pulls I used the same barn red paint that I mixed for the the shutters I did.
I really like how it turned out.  And it looks great in the studio with the blue and gray wall colors.
I staged the dresser with some things I've made, but it won't stay this way.  I needed this to house my tv so that it can swivel back and forth between the two spaces.  I like to work in the studio with the tv on and this way I didn't need two sets.
With this dresser finished, I'm another step closer to being "finished" with my studio.  I say finished, but we all know that we're never completely finished.
There's only a few big things that I have left to do and some things that need painted like the table legs that I built, a storage cart and the chairs at the tables but I will probably hold off on painting them until after fair season is over.  But I won't hold off the reveal for those things to be completed.

And now onto my little announcement.  You might have noticed that my header changed.  I did that to update the pics of things I've made and because I wanted consistency across sites like this one, FB and my new site.  I created a website for my business.  I feel like my little business is growing up.  I couldn't buy the domain name that I wanted of fullcirclecreations so I had to settle for www.fullcirclecreationsia.com.  Parts of the site are still under construction and probably will be for  a little while as I start working on building up inventory for fair season, but I'll try to get it done as soon as I can.  Please take a look at it and let me know what you think.  And any suggestions would be appreciated.  There are already a few things I want to change.  Now I need to finish working on a few orders that have come in this week.  Thanks for stopping by.

Studio part two....

Hi Everyone!  I hope your week is going great.  I worked on my studio yesterday and I'm getting closer to being finished but I'm not there yet.  So no big reveal today, but I thought I'd show you a couple of the things I made on Sunday and finished hanging today.
I took some 1x4's and cut them down and added some scrap trim pieces to the front to make ledges to hang some of my canvases and signs on.
I made them in three different lengths and a two different sizes.
Then I painted them the same as the wall color that they are going on so they wouldn't be the focal point.
And hung them on the wall.  The screws go in the back of board so you don't see them.
These two are on the short wall between two walkways.
I wanted ledges instead of shelves so that the space still felt open and not closed in by the shelves yet uses all the vertical space.
And then I hung some of my canvases here.....
 ...and here.

That's just a peak of my studio.  I hope to have more done this coming weekend.  I have orders that I need to make and ship and then I really need to get started on inventory for my fall fairs so I MUST get this finished.  It's really coming together and I'm getting so inspired by my studio, which after all is the point of it.  Thanks for stopping by.

First off we have this driftwood sailboat by Sara from Alderberry Hill.  Isn't this adorable!  I so want one of these for my bedroom.  I love the bright colors of the sail against the driftwood.  My mom picked me up some driftwood when they were Florida this winter, I'm going to have to see if one would be large enough to make this.

Sarah @ Alderberry Hill

Next we have this foil letter by Amy from Home Happy Home.  I love this and her tutorial makes it look so easy.  I think I need to try this.  Maybe I should make the letters for studio to hang in my new studio.
Amy @ Home Happy Home

I so want to attend a party at the Bliss Ranch.  Look at what she did with an old dresser.  I just adore this portable bar.  You really need to stop by and see all the details.  It's such a great idea and re-purpose of a dresser.  And how great are those legs and feet.  Love that it has casters.
Bliss @ Bliss Ranch

Have I told you before how much I love old windows?  So when I saw what Sheila at Blissfully Shabby did with an old window and old wheel it was love at first sight.  It makes me what to check my window stash to see if I could make something like this.
Sheila @ Blissfully Shabby

Next up is this chair makeover from Amber at What Amber Loves.  What a great use of old belts.  It's genius.  I have an old chair that I could do this with...so now I need to start collecting belts.
Amber @ What Amber Loves

And last, but not least is the adorable Puppy Party by Alyssa from What's Cooking, Love?.  What a great theme for a one-year old's birthday.  I love how she carried the theme into the rest of the party by using the dog dishes as serving bowls.  Love it!

Studio in progress...

Hi Everyone!  It has been so hot out lately that I haven't been able to work out in the shop so my studio has progressed a little slower than I would have liked.  So I don't have anything "finished" to share with you.  But I thought I'd show you a few sneak peeks.
One wall is painted blue and the other three are a grayish blue.
I moved the large shutters I made to hide a walk through and put them so they flanked the large picture window.  And I really like them there.
A small bookcase to store some of my more frequently used paints.
This is part of the table leg that I made for the large table in the center of the room.
And this is the other end.  I reused a small bookcase for the other end.
Another table.

That's all I'm going to show you today.  I know it isn't much of a peek but I hope it peeked your interest a bit.  Thanks for stopping by!

Serpentine dresser...

Hi Everyone!  I just got back from town and had to post this right away.  Yesterday on my lunch break I stopped in at my local Variety Shop...it use to be the Junk shop but it's under new management,  they've cleaned it up and now you can actually stand to go inside of it.  I stopped to check out the furniture.  There were several dressers that I would have loved to have, but one that I just HAD to have.  So this morning I went to my parents home and borrowed the truck....
...and this is what came home with me....
 ....isn't she lovely.....
 ...she's in pretty good shape....
...The top has a few water marks on it...
...Her feet are in great shape...but that knob needs a little help..nothing that a little Kwik wood can't fix...
...and the drawers need a little help...they stick a bit...but nothing that can't be fixed...
...and can you believe she only cost me $20...yep that's right...I said $20.  I have wanted one of these forever.  And I can't wait to make her over.  And yes, I will be keeping her when I'm done.  I have plans for her.  I needed something to go in the opening between my new studio space and my living room to set the t.v. on but that also provided storage and style.  And I think she will be perfect there.  That way the t.v. can swivel between the two spaces.  So what do you think?  Did I do good?  What color would you paint her?  Would you paint or stain the top?  Thanks for stopping by.

And don't forget to stop by later and link up to the All Star Block Party!  See you then!  Now I really need to get back to work on my studio space.  I need to have it mostly done as I am having company next week.

First up is this adorable lamp by Kimberly.  Can you believe it's made from paint sticks!  I have a bunch of these and I need a new lamp...I think this might have to go on my to do list.
Kimberly @ Serendipity Refined

Next up is this great pillow that Jo made.  I love this pillow.  It's another one that I would love to have!  Great job Jo!
Jo @ To A Pretty Life

Kelley painted this beachy secretary.  I have a thing for blue and white right now and I love how this turned out.  Great job.
Kelley @ The Upholster's Wife

I just love these shoes and purses with the plants growing in them.  Reminds me of my grandpa's boots that have a plant in one and a ceramic kitty of my grandma's.  I love the way they have these displayed.  Don't they look lovely.
Jody and Stan @ Rooted In Thyme

Since I love art, I was drawn to these cupcakes set up as an artist palette.  And they look tasty too.
