And for the after....
I painted it in Annie Sloan Chalk Paint. At first I tried French Linen but wasn't happy with it...
...I thought about using Old White (my go to color) but I wanted something different...
...so I repainted it in Graphite....
...and when I sanded it...some of the French Linen came through...
...which gives it an interesting, warn look...then I waxed it with clear wax. What do you think? I'm happy with it and it will be a great addition to the Studio. Thanks for stopping by.Linking to:

It almost looks like it's been painted with chalkboard paint! It's a very pretty piece.
ReplyDeleteI think it turned out beautiful. And, I agree, it almost looks like it is chalkboard paint. Another great transformation.

ReplyDeletethe two tiered table looks fabulous Holly!
I did go buy some ASCP yesterday. and... a lot of other junk! hahaha
There you go with the dark colours again, love it. I haven't done any painting for ages, as I'm just a bit obsessed with the garden !
ReplyDeleteHi I'm Rita visiting from kammy's Korner!! I actually had a table exactly like this and couldn't wait to paint it but it I put it in my sun room which had a leak and ruined it completely!! ugh :( I love the way yours came out!
ReplyDeletenice job.
ReplyDeleteWe had a table just like that when we lived in San Diego area years ago. We left there in '92. Sold the table to our neighbor. We hadn't intended to sell it but after we had a yard sale she asked if that table had sold. I told her we hadn't sold it or put in the sale and she asked if we'd sell it to her. So it stayed there, she was a very nice neighbor. After we moved she shipped 2 boxes of paperbacks from a place she worked to me. I still think about her, wonder if she still lives next to our old place. Happy weekend
